Diets are probably the reason that you aren't having much success. Ive gone through probably exactly what you are feeling right at this very moment, you love yourself on the inside, but dont feel like the outside matches, ... yeah.. been there. Diets dont work because you feel like your restricted and un satisfied, but here is what will work if you are acurate about it and dedicated. First you need to find out how many calories your body needs to maintain your current weight (you can determine this by multiplying your current body weight by 12 if you are inactive or work a desk job 13 if you are lightly active and exercise one or two days a week, 14 if you are moderately active and 15 or 16 if you are either constantly exercising or training for a sport or just do an extremely physically demanding job. Next you need to take the resulting number and subtract about 500 from it. if you do this and then consume that number of calories daily combined with physical activity you should lost about a pound a week. Remeber as your weight goes down you will have to adjust the amount of calories to work around your new lower weight. As you lose weight you will have to slowly consume less calories regularly combined with physical activity to keep you on track, dont forget that many things we drink have more calories than we think and often cause weight gain, or failure to lose weight. Just eat healthy try to avoid unneccessary fats and get lots of fibre in your diet and you should see some results. If not you should look into seeing your doctor to look into a metabolism disorder like hypothyroidism.

Have you thought of seeing a doctor about this?

In fact, I have an appointment with a nutritionist today and she'll be helping me with my weight issues.

Also, do you need to lose weight, or do you want to lose weight. For your height and bone structure, you may be at an appropriate weight, but considering that we're on the Internet, I don't know. Therefore, it would be unwise for me to give you advice without knowing anything about you.

That's why I'm recommending that you see a doctor if you do have serious weight issues.

No diets. Find something you can live by. Eat as less processed food possible. Eat you're protein, veggies, and fruits. No junk and all that. What I usually follow or at least try is to eat 40 % protein and carbs and the 20% is fat ( the good type). Meaning 40% of my overall diet is protein and carbs and so on, also try to eat you're carbs at times when you're most likely to need the energy, so during night time you may want to eat you're veggies with protein rather than having something starchy. You'll find more info at: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/weik68.htm

I know the site name sounds intimidating but it seriously works. I actually feel like this is the leanest I've been so far, and I've been eating that way for almost a year now. With eating healthy you need to excercise, you don't need a gym membership to do it. What I used to do was incorporate weight training and cardio but now I've been doing hindu pushups, divebomber push ups, squats and bridging cause its been really tough on me. So try to find something you are able to incorporate into you're daily life just like brushing you're teeth it has to be a part of your life for it to really work. Also one more thing is, weight loss doesnt happen over night, it took a long time for you to put on the weight to its definately not coming off that fast, just be patient - dont think about the numbers but just try to take it day by day.
